Product Overview: Heavy-Duty Internal Cable Winch System

Designed for high-traffic commercial, institutional, and government applications, this internal halyard system integrates a gearless, self-locking mechanical winch concealed entirely within the seamless aluminum shaft. Engineered for maximum vandal resistance, effortless operation, and long-term durability, the system eliminates exterior halyards and exposed hardware while meeting stringent structural wind-load requirements (NAAMM FP-1001 / AASHTO standards).

Engineering & Mechanical Performance

• Self-Locking Winch System: Features a direct-drive, gearless internal winch operated via a removable crank handle. The winch is inherently self-locking at any height, eliminating mechanical brake failure points and minimizing field maintenance—no routine lubrication required.
• Vandal-Resistant Security: Internal stainless steel aircraft cable runs fully inside the shaft, accessible exclusively through a flush-mounted, key-locked access door to prevent unauthorized flag removal or tampering.
• Non-Welded Construction: Component joinery utilizes mechanical fastening to prevent heat-affected zone (HAZ) structural weakening and avoid thermal discoloration, ensuring a uniform, premium finish across all anodized (Satin, Clear, Dark Bronze, Black) or powder-coated options.
• Smooth Rigging Operation: The 7x19 stainless steel aircraft cable traverses an internal cast-aluminum revolving truck assembly down to a neoprene-coated counterweight and vinyl-coated beaded retainer ring. This design maintains constant tension, prevents shaft abrasion, and allows smooth, low-effort flag hoisting.

• Counterweight & Retainer Ring: Neoprene-coated lead counterweight paired with a vinyl-coated beaded retainer ring to cushion impact against the shaft.
