The Homesteader is Flags Unlimited’s affordable sectional aluminum flagpole for homes, homesteads, and first-time in-ground installs. It ships in pieces by parcel (no freight truck), swedges together into a smooth shaft, and looks finished once it’s in the ground.
Sold by a veteran-owned small business. A practical fit for any yard across the US, HOAs that cap height around 20–25 ft, and anyone who wants a real ground-set pole without one-piece shipping cost.

Does the Homesteader include a flag?
No. Add a U.S. flag, or buy the 20' All-In-One that includes a 3×5.
Homesteader vs Tried & True?
Homesteader = sectional, parcel shipping, lower cost. Tried & True = one-piece shaft, longer-term residential pole. Many customers start with a 20' Homesteader.
What size for a typical Grand Rapids yard?
20 ft pole + 3×5 flag is the usual match.
Can I fly two flags?
Only if the height and wind rating support it. Size the lower flag down (state or POW/MIA).

Returns & warranty
Return Policy
- Stock flags can be returned with prior written authorization, if unused and unopened, with return freight prepaid by the customer. A 15% restocking fee applies.
- Custom flags, banners, and made-to-order items are non-returnable and non-cancellable.
- Flagpoles can be returned within 30 days if uninstalled and in original packaging, also subject to the 15% restocking fee. You need to contact them at sales@flags-unlimited.com for authorization.
Warranty
- Nylon and Poly-Extra U.S. flags (purchased after 1/1/25) come with a one-year warranty, redeemable only in cases of extraordinary wear and tear in normal wind conditions. Flags flown in special or high-wind areas are not eligible for warranty replacement.

In short: standard stock items can be returned within 30 days (unused, with authorization, and a 15% restocking fee), custom/made-to-order items cannot be returned, and U.S. flags carry a one-year warranty under normal wind conditions.
